Offensive Football Recruiting 2011

I know I haven't been posting much about football recently because I have an amazing life! I'm posting right now a pretty brief post for the most part. I'll put down skill rank, interest rank, and order them by position. All rankings are out of 5.

Quarterback:
While Michigan no longer is in serious need of a quarterback rich rod likes to grab a quarterback every year. Don't expect Michigan to grab a top quarterback this year.

Braxter Miller: at 6-2 and 185 lbs Miller is one of the top quarterbacks in the nation. Pretty much considered a lock for Ohio State.
Skill rank 4.5, interest rank 2.

Kevin Sousa: He's 6-2, 213 lbs and probably the best combination of skill and interest in Michigan. Michigan has been rumored the leader but that could change with an offer from Alabama.
Skill 3.5, interest 3.

Running Back:
This year running back isn't in too much need but Michigan can't have enough star running backs on the roster.

Demetrius Hart: at 5-9 165 lbs Hart doesn't look like much of a threat but he's a hardcore running back with a whole lot of skill! Hart once was considered a lock for Michigan but that soon changed when he heard that Rich rod might not be there next year.
Skill 4.0 interest 3.5.

Jarell Oliver: 5-9 185 lbs. Oliver is an in between the tackles running back breaking tackles with ease. Michigan seems to be in the lead for Oliver after his recent visit to Ann Arbor. Comes from a talent rich school and has connections with some of Michigan's players.
Skill 3 interest 4.

Justice Hayes: 5-10 175 lbs. Hayes grew up a Michigan State fan but he knows that his speed would be best used in Rich Rod's spread offense. He really enjoyed his recent visit to Michigan but is going to wait to see if Michigan is going to do well on the field. I for one and loving the prospect of Michigan having Oliver and Hayes on the same field together with strength and speed.
Skill 3.5 Interest 3.5.

Wide Receivers:
Michigan got a bunch of outside receivers last year and are probably only going to grab 2 or 3 really talented wide outs. With Shawn Conway committed DeAnthony Arnett would be a fabulous addition.

Shawn Conway 6-4 185 lbs has been compared by many to Braylon Edwards! Conway is currently ranked the 2nd best receiver in Michigan only to Arnett. Conway is an unbelievably great at the jump ball. While he isn't a blazer or a great rout runner (which can be fixed) he has amazing hands.
skill 3.5 Interest: Committed.

DeAnthony Arnett 5-11 160 lbs has been long considered the top receiver in the state. He's an efficient rout runner. While Arnett is still considered the top receiver, Conway is in a close second. Arnett had Michigan at one time out of his top 3 now it's changing.
skill 4 Interest 3.5

Prince Holloway 5-10 155 lbs is perfect for the slot of wide receiver. He's a serious blazer from Florida who Rich Rod would definitely make room on the roster for Holloway.
skill 3 interest 4

Offensive Line:
With Michigan only taking 1 linemen last year there's a major need for linemen this year. Luckily for Michigan there are quite a few of O linemen interested in the Wolverines.

Anthony Zettle 6-4 255 lbs is an instate guy who has had Michigan on the top of his list since his recruitment started. The only threat to Michigan is Notre Dame who is getting a visit from Zettle soon.
Skill 4 interest 4

Andre Yruretagoyena (I'm gonna call him toga) is a 6-5 250 lbs beast that would be a great fit in Rich Rod's offense. Toga lives in Arizona and has contact with some of Michigan's players that lived near him. Toga is a nibble lineman who happens to be HUGE!
Skill 3.5 interest 3.5

Christian Westerman is 6-5 266 lbs and is considered the best offensive linemen in the nation! Michigan is in the mix with several big time schools so we're just going to have to wait and watch.
Skill 4.5 interest 3
