The truth reveals its self

After that horrible game against Penn State it became obivious to me that Michigan isn't really that great they're only about average. I still think we're going to get into a bowl game but not a january bowl. We're probably going to go to one of the weaker bowls because besides for the win against Notre Dame we really have done anything. I think we might pull an upset before the season is over, but we'll get 6-8 wins this season and probably play some team like arizona in the bowl.

Michigan's record setting day!

Last Saturday Michigan went against Delaware state and beat the socks off them 63-6!
Sadly all we really learned from that is that our backups are pretty dang good particularly at running back. We ran over 400 yards on Delaware state without our two best running backs!! Mike Shaw who started the game ran for 9 times for 73 yards and a touchdown, Mike Cox (#15) had 11 carries for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns including a 53 yard touchdown run, while Vince Smith (#2) had 17 carries for a grand total of 166 yards and a touchdown. Denard Robinson played most of the game going 3 of 4 passing for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns while running 6 times for 56 yards and another touchdown. Forcier just played one series to just get his confidence back. At halftime of the game the score was 49-3 so it was basically was a total blowout.

Michigan VS Iowa

Michigan (4-1) V.S. Iowa (5-0)is on tomorrow and it's expected to be a beat down but I actually disagree with that. I actually believe that Michigan will be able to run the ball to some degree on Iowa's defense and I know they'll be able to pass it. The only thing I'm worried about is how much pressure on Tate Forcier there will be. If Michigan's offensive line give Tate enough time to throw I believe Michigan will have fun going down the field and scoring. But I don't think our defense is good enough to keep the score in our favor.

Prediction Iowa 31-28

Quarterback comparison Denard V.S. Tate

This is my point of view of the 2 freshmen quarterbacks over the 5 week period of the season. Tate Forcier (#5) is a pass first slippery kind of guy while Denard (#16) is a Run first and a I'll run for a 70-yard touchdown on my own quarterback. I've put this into 3 categories and my grading system is going to be 1-10; 5 being an average freshman, and 10 is 1st round pick worthy.

Accuracy and Arm Strength

Tate Forcier was ranked the most accurate passer in the nation as a senior in high school. If you have watch even one of the games that Michigan has played in you can tell that the ranking of most accurate passer was dead on. He's surprisingly extremely accurate while on the run unlike most quarterbacks.

Final grade 8.9

Denard Robinson isn't quite developed as a passing quarterback yet, he'll check 2 receivers and then tuck down the ball so he can run. He needs to be able to trust his arm more mainly his accuracy which is his largest weakness. But he has shown that he has enough arm strength to heave that ball long so that shows promise.

Final grade 5.5

Keeping the play alive

Tate Focier is the best at this in the 4th quarter when the defense is swarming all around him. He has a really good habit of keeping his eyes down field looking for a receiver to break open.

8.3

Denard Robinson is like water where you can feel him but can't hold him. He's a speed demon running a 4.3 in the 40-yard dash. His agility also helps him spring runs of 20, 36, and 43 yards. Denard is better at running than Tate is at throwing but Tate can run pretty good while Denard can possibly throw but he won't unless someone is WIDE open.

7.8

Intelligible

Tate Forcier is a natural quarterback where he forgets bad plays really fast and can get really hot if there's a spark of success. He came to Michigan over the spring and that has really helped him adjust to the speed of college football. He is extremely smart the only problems he ever has are usually freshman mistakes which he'll fix with more experience.

9.5

Denard Robinson is pretty good at knowing when to take off on a run but he needs to learn when to pass the ball. He still needs to learn about the offense more before he feels completely comfortable with passing. He needs to keep looking for wide receivers to get open while he's running from defensive linemen.
