Michigan Linebackers 2009

This year Michigan lost some good talent at Linebacker in Austin Panter and John Thompson. But it's still looking good with Obi Ezeh and Jonas Mouton both have one year left and both have the skill to go to the NFL. A lot of the sophomores are going to have to fight for that last starting position, because they're going to be with two veteran Linebackers who have extremely good skills! Without too many Juniors the Sophomores are going to have to take their game to a new level! Martel Evans is luck that he's one if not the only junior at the position because he's got an advantage on the sophomores with experience and better understanding of the system.

Defensive line 2009

Michigan lost a lot of talent up front this year, losing Terrance Taylor, Tim Jamison and Will Johnson. Lucky for us Team Captain Brandon Graham is back and ready to crush some quarterbacks! We also have sophomore Mike Martin back from a sensational freshmen year, and incoming freshmen 5 star tackle William Campbell, 4 star defensive end Craig Roh, and 4 star defensive end Anothony LaLota. Even with these guys coming in I still think our Defensive line isn't going to be as good as it was last year but lucky for us the recruiting class of 2010 is loaded with defensive linemen. So hopefully we can get our hands on a couple of them and restock on talent after Brandon Graham leaves for the NFL.

Offensive linemen 2009

Last year due to lack of depth we had a lot of freshmen and sophomores starting in the trenches of the offensive line. With that plus a completely new system of offense its no wonder why Michigan's offense sucked last year! This year they're more experienced, know the system better, and know each other better. Most of the linemen were underclassmen so of course they're going to get better individually and together as a team. I don't know exactly how good they're going to be, but one things certain and that they are going to be a big improvement from last season.

Michigan Wide Receivers 2009

This year for Michigan the wide receiver position has a lot of skill but it lacks experience. Greg Mathews (#13) is a senior now and has outstanding hand but last year didn't do as well as most people had hoped. The now juniors didn't do so well either and they are Toney Clemons (#17), Junior Hemingway (#21), and James Rogers (#18). Most of the sophomores redshirted (which means that they practiced and trained with the team but didn't play in the games so that they didn't use a year of eligibility on the bench). The Freshmen coming in have some talent with Jeremy Gallon, Cameron Gordon, and Je'Ron Stokes. Possibly the only receiver that expected expectations in 2008 was Martavious Odoms (#9) who was Michigan's leading receiver as a freshmen with 49 catches and 443 receiving yards. I have to say that even though it was a really bad year for the Wide outs in 2008 it'll be a lot better than last year because we don't lose any starters, everyone knows the system better and the quarter backs are sure to be a lot better than they were last year.

(The class that I put them in are what they're going to be in the 2009 season.)

Michigan Running Backs 2009

This year looks like a good one for Michigan at the running back position. We have 2 returning Seniors in Carlos Brown (#23) and Brandon Minor (#4). Michigan also has returning sophomore Michael Shaw. Carlos Brown started only one game last year but he turned it ON there with 123 yards rushing! Brandon Minor had injuries that held him back until the last couple games where he tore it UP!!!! Sadly the famed Sam McGuffie had to transfer to Rice for his family. But even with that it's looking up at this position where we are set for a couple years! It's pretty obvious that Brandon Minor is the favorite here so it's going to sound lame when I tell everyone that I believe that Minor(4)will start.

Michigan's QB 2009

This year Michigan has some quarterbacks coming back from last year, who lets just say made every Michigan fan shake their heads. Michigan also has 2 talented freshmen coming and fit the system really well. So far it looks like this year isn't going to be the best for QBs but it'll still be better than last year. The two sophomores coming back named Nick Sharidan and Steven Threet who don't fit the system that well but do have some valuable experience. The freshmen are Tate Forcier and Denard Robinson both are dual threat quarterbacks and have pretty good arms but don't have much experience. Steven makes good fake and has a better arm than Nick but he has a tendency to over throw the open receiver. Nick has better speed than Steven but doesn't seem to have the knowledge or composer that you need in the quarterback position. Denard Robinson fits the system good he has tremendous speed has a nice arm and will give Steven and Nick a fight for the starting position.
Tate has the accuracy (rated #1 accurate passer in the country) has the speed, but unlike most dual threat players he uses his speed to build time to THROW the football! He has the swagger of a quarterback he seems like he's going to be a starter sooner than later.

Now my prodiction is that either Nick or steven will start but after a couple games Tate Forcier will take over.

William Campbell

In this most resent recruiting class of 2009 we have one commitment that is the highest ranked and this year its Will. Will is from Detroit, he's a Defensive tackle, ranked 26th best player in the country and is really going to help Michigan out. I also might add that he reminds me of myself....that is if I gained over 120 lbs and could push over 260 lb linemen like they were a bunch of little dolls.

The next Michigan Trio at wide receiver??

Today Michigan got it's 3rd commitment for the class of 2010. That guy is wide receiver Jerald Robinson from Canton Ohio. He's in the projected top 250 players in the country just like Jeremy Jackson and Ricardo Miller. So Michigan has 3 commitments, 3 receivers, and all 3 of them are good. This could be like Braylon Edwards, Jason Avant, and Steve Breaston. It could also be like Marques Walker and David Terrell only with 3 of them! I'm really excited to see what happens with these 3 guys because by the time they come, we should have our quarterbacks all figured out unlike last year.

Former Tennesse Committment now a Wolverine

At 3:00 pm today Je'Ron Stokes a 4 star receiver committed to Michigan. Watch this video about Stokes.

National Signing day 2009

Well its National Signing day 2009 and Michigan is off to a great start. Snatching 3 players, one of them named Quinton Washington a 4 star (out of 5) linemen. This morning 2 teammates from Florida picked Michigan they are 4 star Athlete/dual threat quarterback Denard Robinson and 2 star defensive back Adrian Witty. I've had a feeling that Michigan was going to get Robinson and Witty for a while now, but mainly because of the fact that they wanted to go to college together and only 2 schools offered both of them. Those schools were Kentucky and Michigan. Now if it's between the both of them which one would you choose?? Unless you don't know anything about football your thinking Michigan, Duh! Even with all of Michigan's 8 decommitments they still currently have 21 commitments which is pretty good. Michigan will still get some more I'm guessing but we'll have to find out later today.

Man-hood is approaching!

Yesterday I shaved for the first time....with a razor. It was a little scary at first...(mainly because my mom had the camera like 3 inches away from my face) but I got the hang of it. Next time you see me take a good look at my chin and notice how hairless it is now that I have shaved.
