New prospects now have Michigan high on their list!

Michigan's first spring practice was this week and with it came a lot of top prospects from around the country. Seantrel Henderson (Offensive tackle) the top prospect in the country was there and very impressed by the visit and said "I loved it better than any college I've been to so far." Some other prospects that have recently added Michigan on their list of favorites are RB Austin White, RB Mack Brown, and DB Latwan Anderson. Austin White was ranked in the top 250 players in the nation but was cut from the new list. He has 2 brothers that went to Michigan St but even with that Michigan seems to be the team to beat for White. Mack Brown has recently shown a lot of interest in Michigan he's ranked 44th best player in the nation. Latwan Anderson is a safety from Ohio and it is rumored that his 2 favorites are Michigan and Michigan St.

Dior Mathis: Possible Next star corner at Michigan??

Dior Mathis is a former teammate of soon to be freshmen Defensive tackle William Campbell, Defensive back Thomas Gordon, and running back Teric Jones. Mathis is also a former teammate to sophomore defensive back Boubacar Cissoko. Dior Mathis is ranked 134th best player in the country. He still hasn't cut his list favorites but I'd expect Michigan to be at least in the top 3. He plays for Detroit class tech and I believe is going to end up committing to Michigan but he's also pretty high on Miami so we'll have to see.

Change

you've probably noticed that I changed my blog color-wise well that's just because I kinda got bored with it. If you don't like what I did to it don't worry I'll probably change it as soon as I get bored.

Running back prospects for 2010

Michigan is going to need another good talented running back in this recruiting class. That's because Brandon Minor, Carlos Brown, and the very disappointing Kevin Grady are all leaving! So far it looks okay for Michigan at running back recruiting not as good as quarterback but still some good talent. 2 guys that I'd keep my eye on is Brennan Clay from California, and Nick Hill from Chelsea Michigan.

Brennan Clay (#24 and #15) was a teammate to incoming freshman Tate Forcier and has been offered by Michigan. He's ranked the 112th best player in the country is really good at catching the ball from the back field and getting yardage (over 1,000 yards receiving). Michigan is in his top list along with Oregon, Wisconsin and San Diego St. He's got the hands to really be a threat in Rich Rodriguez's spread offense.

Nick Hill ran for over 2,000 yards for his high school this year and can he play! He was originally in the top 250 players in the country but wasn't in it in the latest issue. He really likes Michigan I really believe that he's going to commit to Michigan anytime now.

2 more Commitments

Over the weekend Michigan picked up 2 more commitments to add to their class of 2010. Wide receiver D.J. Williamson from Warren Ohio and linebacker Antonio Kinard from Youngstown Ohio. Both have yet to be ranked by rivals.com but they've only ranked the top 250 players so far. D.J. didn't really have outstanding stats last season but this year he plans on getting better numbers wise and if he does then Rivals.com will notice that and rank him higher. Kinard is a linebacker with tremendous potential he's 6'4" and still growing! Rich Rodriguez is really excited about what they can turn him into when he hits Michigan's sweet weight room. So after Devin Gardner officially commits to Michigan that's going to make it 6 commitments for the class of 2010!

There's

-Ricardo Miller Wide receiver from Orlando Florida ranked the 123rd best player in the country
-Jeremy Jackson Wide receiver from Ann Arbor Michigan

-Jerald Robinson Wide receiver from Canton Ohio ranked the 238th best player in the nation
-D.J. Williamson Wide receiver from Warren Ohio

-Devin Gardner Dual Threat Quarterback from Inkster Michigan ranked the 176th best player in the country
-Antonio Kinard Linebacker from Youngstown Ohio

Devin Gardner Dual threat quarterback from Inkster Michigan told everyone that he is going to commit to Michigan on Monday at a Press conference. Devin Gardner is ranked the 176th best player in the country. He’s going to be a good addition to the class because we have 3 really good receivers for him to throw to. Devin Gardner was considering Michigan St, Ohio St, and other major colleges. With him on the list of commits looks like Michigan might get a few commitments with people knowing that they’re going to have quarterback Devin Gardner leading the rains. Many people were surprised that Devin wasn’t ranked among the top 100 by rivals.com but it doesn’t really matter about rankings. Gardner has another year to convince the people at rivals.com that he has the skill to be in the top 100. Even though Michigan now has a great quarterback for the 2010 class they’re still going to have to get one more due to lack of depth at the position.

Lions Draft 2009

This year with their 0-16 record the lions get the first pick in the NFL draft. There's going to be a lot of people thinking that the lions should draft Georgia quarterback Matthew stafford, but that's not what I'd do. First of all you've got to look at all of your positions now that's kinda stupid to do with the lions because they don't have a good positions only worse positions. Now the quarterback talent this year in the draft is well not nearly as good as it could have been with Tim Tebow, Mark Sanchez, and Colt McCoy deciding to stay in school one last year. So I say wait on the quarterback because of that and the fact that our line sucks Popsicles! There isn't a linemen that has enough talent to go #1 though so then you look at our defense which was HORRIBLE!! The best defensive player out there is Aaron Curry OLB Wake Forest, he was so good that everyone calls him the safe pick because he's got so much talent and is durable! With this years 2nd, 1st round pick (pick #20) I'd probably pick either a offensive or defensive linemen depending on who's still on the board. Detroit finally has that running back with the speed and strength to work with the 5, 300 lbs pieces of crap we call linemen and his name is Kevin Smith. Just imagine what Detroit could do with this guy if he had some talent up front to help him, and then try as hard as you can to picture the lions with an actual RUNNING GAME!! (I know it's hard but try). Then after this year if we still don't have a quarterback to help out the receivers, then look at what you have now! (possibly the best player to ever play football) Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, and Mark Sanchez! All whom have serious potential to become the next Tom Brady, or Payton Manning!

Let the games begin!

My sister Katrina is coming home for spring break in about a week and that's nice. But she's also bringing home her boyfriend Ben! Now I don't really have much against Ben except for one thing he's a buckeye! Now Buckeye Ben will be at my house for about 24 hours until his parents pick him up, that's nice but I'm going to do everything in my power to show him which school is king of the mid-west! All I have to say is....let the games begin.

Quarterback Prospects for 2010

(In the video above) Christian Green a dual threat quarterback in the class of 2010. He's from Georgia and in the projected top 250 players in the nation (4 out of 5 stars at least). He has received an offer from Michigan a while ago and he has Michigan really high on his list. With Michigan's lack of depth in quarterback Michigan is looking for 2 good quarterbacks this recruiting class.

Devin Gardner from Inkster Michigan is also being heavily recruited by Michigan. Last year he lead Inkster to the state championship! He isn't in a big hurry to chose a school yet, but Michigan is rumored to be his favorite specially after he cut Ohio state (his childhood favorite) from his list. He is thought of by many as a younger version on Vince Young.

Robert Bolden another Dual threat quarterback from Michigan is a pretty big Michigan fan! It looks like if Michigan wants him then all they have to do is offer him then he's sold. He's also considering Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan and others.

Jeffrey Godfrey is a dual threat quarterback from Florida. He has Michigan high on his list it looks like it's going to be between Michigan and Miami. He's on the "Ten to watch in 2010" and has extraordinary arm straight. He seems to be a prep legend in Florida so hopefully we can convince him to come to Michigan.

Former Michigan Quarterback goes Bad/Crazy

Former Michigan Quarterback Ryan Mallett who transferred to Arkansan after coach Carr retired and new coach Rich Rodriguez came in. Who was a 5 star Quarterback in high school and 3rd overall. Well he had to sit out a year after transferring and this year looks like he's going to be the starter, that is until he hurt he chances really bad. He was charged with "Public intoxication" charge near campus. He went to jail at 3:47am this morning and after about an hour was released on bond. He is a classic story of people going insane after going from the best to well not even close.
