Ricardo Lopez!

My freshman year of high school we took this test that's very similar to the ACT only it's an easier version called the explorer. Now since this was my freshman year I kinda thought the test like a joke, so I purposely goofed up the information that I had to give them! I told them that I was 23 my name is Ricardo Lopez I want to be either a clown or hot dog salesman and a bunch of other crap like that! I thought it was really funny at the time but I forgot about it until recently! About a month ago I got a letter in the mail from a college only it was addressed to Ricardo Lopez! It actually took me sometime to remember what I did freshman year! At first I just thought it was a misprint but after the 2nd and 3rd college sent Ricardo info on their college I realised it was because of that!

I definitely wouldn't do it over if I could because it's just hilarious getting letters for Ricardo! I was a smart freshman!

Subway!

Today is Wednesday! Therefore we're gonna go out to eat and have a jolly good time! Every other week we go to subway to eat subs until we burst! This happens to be subway week, and I can't wait to get my hands on a footlong!

It's not my fault!

During Oasis this Sunday we learned about what made men different from women besides for the obvious. Apparently when a mom is 9 weeks pregnant the baby boy gets his testosterone which ends up damaging the emotional part of his brain! It also results in men for the most part are more logical than women! On the other side women notice more things, can get more emotionally into things, among other things! So everyone likes to make fun of me because I don't really notice many things like when it comes to a haircut or anything little like that! My excuse now is that I'm so manly, that my testosterone totally wiped out that part of my brain! I've been brain washed! That's the side affect for being this MANLY!!!!

Corn maze!

This weekend my youth group and I went to a corn maze! You're suppose to look for check point in the maze with your map, but I had a much better plan! I attack people! I wandered through the maze then wait till I heard voices, then I'd bolt to that person! I would make it to them, even if I had to cut through the corn! It was pretty successful especially when I cut through corn! Apparently it scares the crap out of people when they hear something charging at them through the corn! It was very similar to the last time we were at the corn maze except I had something that I didn't have before.....Camouflage! Okay, maybe it was just my eye black put in crazy designs all over my face but it was cool! Overall, I scared a lot of people! Some of those people might not have been in our group, but oh well!

where did you learn how to drive??

This weekend I went to this Ford event. Its suppose to teach us advanced driving skills like how to get out of a skid and work on your reflexes! Now I'm a pretty good driver but as I get to the drill where I learn how to stop your car from swerving I'm kinda nervous! We got in groups of 3 plus an instructor and get in the car. The car we were using was a mustang but to make it swerve they lifted the rear of the car a bit! So I finish without too many mistakes and think "Hey that wasn't too bad!" I spoke too soon! Being in the front seat of a swerving car is no big deal but being in the back is HORRIBLE! After the Gary (another driver) drove a bit I wasn't feeling too good, but the other driver was a girl so I figured that she'd be cautious and not be as crazy! Was I wrong! This girl did everything wrong! The worse thing that she did was push hard on the gas when we were swerving! We kept doing 360's!! She never seemed to learn! I was afraid that I was gonna end up puking in this nice mustang! I never really thought about the stereo type where women can't drive, but trust me she fit the bill!

I felt sick for the rest of the day after that! While it is truth that I'm not good when it comes to motion sickness, but still that's pretty bad!

Slow motion makes everything better!

Yesterday I was watching "The lion king" in spanish class. Only it was in spanish so I really couldn't understand what they were saying. One thing I forgot about was the battle that Simba and scar have but the coolest thing is that it's in slow motion! I have realised that the coolest things in life are in slow motion!

Speaking of stress......

So have you ever had a lot of stress in your life without any real way to get rid of it? Well was that way until I found a great stress reliever. Playing catch with the football really helps calm me down! In fact yesterday, Andrew and I threw the football around for 30 or 45 minutes! We probably would have been out there longer except that it was dark when we STARTED! After a while I had to go back to studying but I felt a whole lot better!

Testing!

Today I had my first Math test in 6 years! There's a pretty big difference when it comes to a 6th grade math test than a college pre calc test! I actually have to study! I'm not use to this "study" term when it comes to math! I never studied for math when I was in elementary or 6th grade! I believe I did pretty good today! I wasn't floundering out there at all, and I knew my stuff! I'm glad to finally get ride of the stress of a big test!

Is Sleep Really A Necessity?

Has anyone proved that sleep is necessary for survival? I'm sure that I'm getting pretty sure to find out whether or not that's true! I haven't sleep past 8:30 the past 2 weeks and I haven't gone to bed earlier than 11 since branson which was near the end of july! I should be going to bed earlier but I don't like missing out on things! I think it's nearing the point where it's really starting to catch up to me. For example yesterday I was in la la land for half of the day! I have the shortest attention expand and can't really keep focused! Hopefully this weekend I can catch up on my Z's so that I don't go insane!

You gotta be kidding me!

Have you ever had a time in your life where you just say to yourself "you gotta be kidding me!"? So I've been talking to Jana since Branson, and we've realised that after we talk occasionally something out of the ordinary that is related to our conversation happens! Well I was talking to my friend Jana on the phone the other night and we were talking about midgets, don't ask me how we got on to the subject of midgets but we did. So the next day, while I was driving home from my class at HFCC, I saw a midget! I hadn't seen her before until that day! I amazed at the power of the conversation!

That was too close for comfort!

This weekend Michigan played a FCS team Umass. Michigan is gonna just blow them out without even trying right? Wrong! Michigan scored about as many points as was expected, but our defense was down right horrible! The final score was 42-37! Our defense was practically non existent! I'm really hoping that it was just the fact that our defense underestimated Umass because if we allow 37 points against a FCS team what's going to happen against MSU?? Our offense on the other hand was spectacular after not really having the ball for much of the game! Denard decided to share the love and give some of his teammates some attention! Mike Shaw had a breakout game with 124 yards rushing including a 50 yard scurry! Darryl Stonum also had the best game in his college career with 121 yards receiving on just 3 catches!

Denard didn't have a record breaking game, but he still had a solid game with 241 yards passing and 104 yards rushing on 17 carries! Basically the message for this game was Offense = Good, Defense = Non existent. Hopefully the defense wakes up soon because we're going against MSU in 3 weeks!

This isn't the way it's supposed to be!

I have told you about my Spanish class along with my pre calc class that I'm taking at HFCC. Well neither have gone quite as I thought (and was hoping) they would go! So far in my Spanish class we've been too busy with learning Spanish to play cards! Isn't that crazy?? Now in my pre calc class the actual classwork is about the amount I thought it'd be, but the homework size is a whole lot more than I thought! I spend hours just getting this stupid online homework done! I hate having it online, while I can tell whether I got the question right, sometimes it marks it wrong when I got it right! For example I answered 2 and 3/8 but they marked it wrong because the answer was "19/8" it told me to simplify so that's how I simplified!! It's very frustrating! While this is a 5 credit class I still feel like this is harder than it's supposed to be!

Now back to the spanish side of things...... since we're busy "reviewing spanish" I can't have as much fun as I expected! I've managed to steal some of rory's things such as her class work, calculator, and backpack which brightens the day a bit! But I'm looking forward to the week that Mrs. S has a "Flu" and we start having subs more often than her! I also have my friend Katie in this class and 2 years ago I taught her how to properly kick a paper football! So I'll also have to challenge her to a game!

Senior Pictures!

My "Connor" smile...
My "normal" eyes smile!

Yesterday I took my senior pictures. At first, I was uncomfortable because I had to wear dress clothes. After a few pictures the photographer said "Try not to squint." and at first I was confused because I wasn't squinting. Then I realised that it was because my eyes are small! I tried to open them more than I usually do but then he found out that I wasn't squinting it was just my eyes are small! We looked at the pictures and I looked like a deer with my eyes really unusually open! It really got me into a good mood though!

I really like how the pictures came out! When I got into some regular clothes I felt a whole lot better! You can tell that I was more comfortable in my T-shirt because the pictures are a whole lot better in my puma shirt than the pictures of me in a suit! I had fun taking the pictures after a while and I'm glad I did it!

Oh yeah!

Michigan is off to a 2-0 start this season and is looking good! One player in particular is Denard Robinson who has broken the Michigan school record for total yards in a game, TWICE! He topped it last week against Uconn with 383 yards and just obliterated it this week against Notre Dame with 502 yards! He's been the national player of the week twice this season, and we just finished our 2nd game! He's in the front of the Heisman race (I don't think he's going to win it) and is the most electric player in the nation! He's known for his elite speed, which is a sub 4.3 in the 40, but he can also throw with great accuracy! Last year his arm wasn't good enough for him to be a serious contender for the starting quarterback position. He has vastly improved over the off season and it has shown!

He has the nickname "Shoelace" because he doesn't tie his shoes! He just Velcroes them on! He said at the press conference, after the Uconn game, that he heard the defenders yell "take off his shoes!" when there was a pile up! Denard's success is helping both our record and our recruiting! It's really good exposure when you have someone on your team who is the national player of the week, 2 weeks in a row! Keep them untied, Shoelace!

Branson, Missouri (Part 4)

The last day of student life was probably the best! It was crazy hat day so we all went to this store and bought these weird and creative hats! Needless to say, we were the envy of everyone there! Most of the girls went with the cowboy hats, then there's Sarah who went with a hippy sort of thing. The guys went with completely different hats! Carson wore a bison hat, Brandon wore a shark hat (with Cheetos in its mouth), Marcas when with a pimp look, and I went with this fake hair thing and a fake beard! I looked kinda like a blond Rambo! We were a hit! Oh I nearly forgot about our special person in the center there! Andy went as a girl! He had this one hat with fake hair coming out of the back and he got his nails done! Not even I would go as a girl for a day! That dude is crazy! Several people actually believed that he was a girl!

I looked so different that Jana didn't know who I was at first! We played a few games of ninja together then it was time for the session to start! This session was amazing like always but then we realised that it was done! and that in the morning we'd be heading back to Michigan! The only thing we liked about going back to Michigan was that it was TOO hot in Missouri! Our way home was uneventful besides for Andy messing with me while I was texting a Jana [Edit: to hear about my fail in asking for Jana's number look at Branson Missouri (part 5)]. In between texts I would get Andy into a headlock and give him noogies! It was a really fun week!
