Michigan Wide Receivers 2009
This year for Michigan the wide receiver position has a lot of skill but it lacks experience. Greg Mathews (#13) is a senior now and has outstanding hand but last year didn't do as well as most people had hoped. The now juniors didn't do so well either and they are Toney Clemons (#17), Junior Hemingway (#21), and James Rogers (#18). Most of the sophomores redshirted (which means that they practiced and trained with the team but didn't play in the games so that they didn't use a year of eligibility on the bench). The Freshmen coming in have some talent with Jeremy Gallon, Cameron Gordon, and Je'Ron Stokes. Possibly the only receiver that expected expectations in 2008 was Martavious Odoms (#9) who was Michigan's leading receiver as a freshmen with 49 catches and 443 receiving yards. I have to say that even though it was a really bad year for the Wide outs in 2008 it'll be a lot better than last year because we don't lose any starters, everyone knows the system better and the quarter backs are sure to be a lot better than they were last year.
(The class that I put them in are what they're going to be in the 2009 season.)
